Frequently Asked Questions

Do you just do Driveways?

No. We can cover all areas including Slabs, Driveways, Entertainment Areas, Alfrescos, Footpaths, Crossovers, in fact, all types of Residential and Commercial concreting.

Are you Qualified and Insured?

Evari Insurance with $20,000,000 insurance. Our Director is a Cert III Qualified Concreter with 16 years experience.

Can you match new concrete to my existing coloured concrete?

We can usually get very close. We look at a few different factors with the concrete that include:

  • Age
  • Pattern
  • Colour used to create it
  • Effects of sun and the elements
How long does a new driveway installation take to complete?

Each job varies but as a rule of thumb, standard driveways are generally completed within 3 days from the start date as there are different stages. These include:

  • Excavation of the designated area
  • Preparation of the driveway site
  • Pouring of concrete and applying the right finish

Please note: With council crossings and footpaths there are extra steps of getting approval and their officer’s site visit, which can cause some (usually minor) delays. We recommend getting the paperwork into council early in the process. If you’re not sure on this give us a call!

*Weather Dependent

How thick should a concrete driveway be?

The thickness of a concrete driveway depends on a few factors including:

  • The soil that will be under the driveway
  • If there are heavy vehicles on your driveways on a regular basis.

We will usually install 20mm of structural base (subgrade) and pour 100mm to 150mms of concrete. If you plan on having heavy vehicles on there regularly we would look to increase the depth and add extra reinforcement.
